Voter Suppression
Wizbang notes Wikipedia’s cataloguing of conspiracy theories about the 2004 election and wonders if Wikipedia has jumped the shark:
Among their dubious evidence is that in an election with record turnout, some people actually had to wait in line to vote. (The horrors.) They call that “voter suppression.” That is right below the old “but the vote did not match the exit polls” meme.
I have friends that waited over two hours in heavy GOP neighborhoods in order to vote for George W. Yet I’ve not heard anyone suggest that the reason was because of a plot to suppress their votes.

I waited in line for only half an hour… but I voted 2 weeks early. I really hope more people vote early next time if they can…
The lefty conspiracy theorists are in full bloom, no question about it. The spin is dizzying and has reached critical mass, Rational people are just laughing at them.
To characterize waiting in line as “voter suppression” harkens back to the Civil Rights Commission’s hearings over the 2000 election claims of disenfranchisement of the black vote. When all was said and done, there was not one documented case of a person being disenfranchised or intimidated, no matter how much Civil Rights Commission Chairperson Marion Berry struggled to spin it that way.
The whole thing is just Jesse Jackson-type hype that people fall for or hang onto as an excuse to remain miserable and wallow in their (nonexistent) victimhood.
They’ve cried ‘Wolf!’ far too often to ever be taken seriously. They just want to keep the strife alive.
I think the real news here is that Wizbang and most of the idiots that posted on his site have no clue what a Wiki is in the first place. So you should change your headline to read, “RightWing Nut job is too stupid to breathe, much less understand that anyone can edit a Wiki page.”
Amazing what liberals think passes for “clean and civil,” tonetheman. On the other hand, it’s pretty clear from the first paragraph that Wizbang understands exactly what a Wiki is. But then all 59 million of us are stupid, right? We were too stupid to blindly follow the lies of Michael Moore. We were too stupid to see the integrity in sending troops to war and then not funding them once they’re in the field. We were too stupid to understand that it didn’t matter that the documents were forged if what they said was bad enough. Of course we were also too stupid to really see what the big deal was anyway about not taking a physical when you’re not going to be in for but a few more months. Now we’re too stupid to shoot ourselves or go to therapy because of the impending end of the universe resulting from John Kerry not winning. We get it, you are the almight y intelligent ones and we are, as perhaps John Kerry’s mother might have called us from her death bed, “stupid, stupid, stupid.”
