Surprise Bounce
Pundits may be saying that the GOP convention bounce is fading, but there is one surprise left: in the heavily Democrat state of New York, Kerry led Bush by 20 in mid-August. He now leads by a mere 6 points.
Hard work in Pennsylvania is paying off — the latest ABC poll shows Bush in a virtual tie with Kerry.
Now SurveyUSA [whom I am not familiar with and cannot vouch for] places Bush ahead of Kerry by 4 points in New Jersey.
The bad news gets worse for Democrats. In an election for president in NJ today, George W Bush defeats John Kerry in a state Kerry must win & which Democratic strategists had hoped to spend no money or time campaigning in, according to SurveyUSA poll of 734 likely NJ voters conducted 9/12 + 9/13 + 9/14.
Nice, if true, but the Blogging Caesar hasn’t changed his 10-15 point Kerry win prediction in Jersey just yet.
