Stupid Criminals, China Edition
Two guys working at a bank in China wanted to get rich. One way was to make an unauthorized withdrawal from the vault. Another was to win the lottery. So what did these guys do?
The only two with the keys to the vault, they stole a few thousand dollars to see whether anyone noticed. No one did. So they took more. In the course of a month they walked away with $8.2 million.
But instead of running away with their cash, the pair did something seemingly illogical: they bought lottery tickets.
The stole millions, which would arguably have made them quite rich. $8.2 million in a month! Yet it wasn’t enough.
In their defense, they were going to give the money back after they won. Ah, the best laid plans . . . Or, in this case, pretty bad plans.
