Reagan’s Bust in Budapest
The city council is to vote on this proposal this month, and it is expected to pass:
A small center-right party, the Hungarian Democratic Forum, proposed the idea for putting a bust of Reagan near an existing statue of George Washington in City Park, a popular recreation site in the capital. …“Although he never visited Hungary, Ronald Reagan was the American president who most contributed to the democratic changes in this country,” said Democratic Forum councilman Laszlo Szoke. “He was one of the most meaningful conservative politicians who helped end communism.”
Hungarians are smart people. Ya gotta love those New Europeans.
