“Menstrual Leave”
Union demands at a Toyota plant in Australia includes 12 days “menstrual leave” each year for female employees.
Others include employer-provided childcare, 10 per cent annual pay rises for three years and superannuation payments of 15 per cent by 2007.
10% a year for three years?!
“A lot of women have terribly bad periods and they are genuinely ill and we simply say that has to be recognised.”
Yeah, and a lot of women have terribly bad emotional problems and are genuinely insane, but we give them jobs anyway.
