Kerry Demands Weekly Debates
The latest sign of desperation from the Kerry camp:
John Kerry challenged President Bush (news – web sites) on Thursday to weekly debates from now until Nov. 2 on campaign issues like education, health care and national security.“America deserves a discussion like we’re having here today, which I’m prepared to have with this president every single week from now until the election,” the Democratic presidential candidate said.
Americans won’t tune in to the three debates already scheduled.
Besides, I would rather have my wartime president concentrating on more important things — he is already splitting his time between running the country and fighting a war. Prepping for debates with sleaze-balls takes time, and lots of it. No problem for Kerry because he acts like he doesn’t even have a job. How many votes has he missed this year?

Kerry Wants Weekly Debates

Seems to me the losing side always demands more debates. Is this the beginning of the end for Kerry?
Naw — I don’t know when Kerry jumped the shark but I’m pretty sure it was quite some time ago.
I’d like to see a Lincoln-Douglas format debat (i.e. Candidate1 gets 20 minutes to speak, Candidate2 gets 30 minute response, Candidate1 gets 10 minute rebuttal, end of debate) rather than the soundbite fests that pass as debates right now.
The current format is completely useless since the answers are so short they can get away with vague generalities (if elected, I’ll make everyone’s teeth 30% brighter) without having to go into any details that would allow someone to evaluate their proposals.
