Kennedy Accuses White House of Leaks to Blogs
The U.S. News & World Report reports that Senate Democrats and Judiciary Committee minority staffers are upset over the fact that the conservative side of the blogosphere has more effective research skills than they do.
Oh wait, that’s wrong — the Democrats in question are upset that conservative bloggers seem to have more information about Supreme Court nominee John Roberts than they do and the only possible explanation that they can come up with is that the VRWC machine is rolling over the poor little Democrats once again:
“They’ve got material out there that we don’t know about,” complained Sen. Edward Kennedy, who’s leading an effort to force the White House to turn over any documents it has on Roberts.Other Democrats said that they believe the White House is providing supportive bloggers with information that paints Roberts only in a positive light. Kennedy, speaking to reporters last Friday, said that he was unaware of the prolific GOP blogging on behalf of Roberts until his wife pointed it out.
Now you know why I haven’t made any posts about the Roberts nomination — Rove seems to have mistakenly left me off of the mailing list. Dammit! Can one of my VRWC buddies contact the home office and see about getting me reinstated?
