When attempting to make a water pump work, it does not matter that you spend five hours taking it apart and putting it back together, nor that you do the same for all of the various valves connected to the water system, nor that you push wire through sections of PVC to make sure that they are not blocked, nor that you replace every bloody gasket you come across, if you have neglected to put on the blasted defuser that goes over the impeller because it is buried beneath a pile of junk on your workbench.
