87% of Saudi Men Support Women Voting

An opinion poll indicates 87 percent of Saudis support the participation of women in the kingdom’s ongoing first municipal elections.

SAS, a statistics center in the Saudi Red Sea city of Jeddah, queried 240 Saudi men, 13 percent of whom said they categorically opposed the participation of women in political life.

Note that only Saudi men were surveyed.

That was yesterday. Today the Arab News carries a feeble attempt to discredit the survey.

    Ahh…that is good to hear. I read that in a newsweek magazine some government official wanted that as well.
    Looks like Bush’s plan is paying off…
